TL;DR
We are living through the fastest technological transformation in human history. Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), once a speculative horizon, is now a near-term inevitability. Like the electric light, telephone, and internet before it, AGI will reshape every layer of the economy.
The transition is already underway. Capital and labor are sprinting toward automation; opportunity lies at the inverse, supporting energy abundance, strengthening foundational industries, and enabling coordination across agents and humans. However, the real danger is not that AI replaces humans, but that we forget what makes us irreplaceable: the Human Spirit.
THE POINT
Why muse for 40 pages on the future? To show you how we think. In getting to know anyone, observing how they think and speak allows you to know them better, and assess them. So, get to know how we think. Ask questions, poke holes. We love it.
WHAT WE HOPE IS CLEAR
We are looking for mispriced risk, and we like things on the edges that are far-reaching but non-consensus. To find those, you must explore and be open to exploring two inverse areas: what must also be true for X to happen? What arises as a counter-balancing force to X? We try to decompose possible answers into early stage investment opportunities, which will come to life over the next two decades (i.e. a long time). We like to think multi-dimensionally about belief systems, as they move humans that move our world. So the more we talk about and delve into the second and third order, orthogonal effects of key transition moments, like the dawn and proliferation of AGI, the more we can spot opportunity.
